Departmental Scholarships are reviewed by the scholarship selection committee within the department. We will update the deadlines based on funding available. Scholarships are also available in the BOSS System.

Timothy William Reese Memorial Endowed Scholarship- UNDERGRAD
Purpose:
- Students to be awarded a max of $400 when funds available
Qualifications:
- Student must be enrolled full-time.
- Student must have junior or senior status with an overall 3.0 grade point average.
- Student must demonstrate financial need.
- OE or PD must be Business emphasis
Requirements:
- Please respond to the following questions and attach the typed answers to this application. One typed written page per question is required. No more than two typed pages per answer are acceptable.
- Establish a personal and financial need for a scholarship.
- Discuss your career goals and how the scholarship will enhance the goals
- Attach two letters of personal and/or professional references.

The Melvin Weathersby Scholarship- UNDERGRAD/ GRAD
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be pursuing one of the following degrees: BAAS, MEd, MSIS, or MAIS
- GPA required: 3.0 for graduate students and 2.75 for undergraduate
- Applicant has been working full-time for the last ten years.
Requirements:
- Attach a two page essay to this application that explains his/her need for assistance and career goals.
- Applicant must indicate the nature and duration of the full-time work he/she has been engaged in for ten years.

Burd-Cook Scholarship- UNDERGRAD/ GRAD
Purpose:
- Students will be awarded no less than $250 (depending on available funds)
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be pursuing one of the following degrees: Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences, Management of Technical Education, Master of Arts or Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Requirements:
- Attach a one page essay to this application in regard to your career goals and how your education relates to those career goals.
- Attach an unofficial Texas State transcript.
- Based on their cumulative GPA

Patricia S. Davis Endowed Scholarship- UNDERGRAD/GRAD
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be pursuing one of the following degrees: BAAS, MEd, MSIS, or MAIS
- GPA required: 3.5 for graduate students and 3.0 for undergraduate
- Graduate students must have completed 6 graduate hours in OWLS with a 3.5 GPA
- Preference is given to a non-traditional female student.
Requirements:

Jane Cappe Research Award- GRAD (MSIS)
Purpose:
- Students will be awarded $1000 to provide financial assistance for the execution of their research
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be pursuing Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (MSIS)
Requirements:
- Recommendation of the graduate advisor.
- All applicants must provide a copy of their research proposal
- All applicants must provide an unofficial transcript.
- Applicants will provide an essay containing the following information:
1. Quality of the research outline.
2. Ability of the proposed research to challenge and strengthen the applicant's skills.
3. Significance of the research.
