Department Awards

The Department of OWLS recognizes student excellence through undergraduate and graduate awards. Applications open October 1 and close February 6. After the deadline, the OWLS Awards Committee meets to review award requirements, criteria, and applications to identify awardees.

To apply for an OWLS award, click the applicable undergraduate or graduate button, review relevant awards, and apply online by clicking the Application button found under each award description.  To ensure security of information, applications and documents cannot be accepted outside of the submission system.

Please note: According to section 3.1 of the Texas State University Sexual Misconduct Policy, a Texas State University employee (e.g., those who review award applications) who "receives a report of sexual misconduct must report to the Title IX Coordinator all relevant details about the alleged sexual misconduct shared by the Victim.”  The Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX offers additional information and resources about this topic and policy.
