Dr. Springer holds Life Certification by the Texas Education Agency for secondary education in political science and history, elementary education, mid-management, and counseling. He is a Certified Public Manager-State of Texas and a licensed by the State of Texas as a Professional Counselor.
Dr. Springer was born in Texas and has taught in virtually all areas and levels of education including public schools, military and the University. He has had a private counseling practice, served as an O-6 in the Texas State Guard, administered public school programs such as alternative schools and Teen Parent programs and as a President of a School Board. He speaks often in motivational and other settings. Up until this last year he served as Chair of Occupational Education for numerous years. He has a research interest in PTSD and also problems facing adult students.
Dr. Springer is currently working on research in PTSD, and also is beginning study in several other areas. His most recent professional research presentation contrasted the leadership style of President Kennedy and President Reagan.
