About Us

The Department of Occupational, Workforce, and Leadership Studies at Texas State University offers one undergraduate degree — the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) and two graduate degrees — the Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (MSIS) and the Master of Education with a Major in Management of Technical Education (MEd).

Here are some of the reasons this may be the right program for you:

  • We offer courses at convenient times and locations for the working adult.
  • By using past courses and work/life credit, you may be able to complete your entire BAAS degree in San Marcos or at the Round Rock campus.
  • You can individualize your degree. Faculty advisors work with you in analyzing your strengths and weaknesses, and planning your future career goals.
